However, if you feel you're not being challenged, you can try the higher difficulty stages. I would say that it is noob friendly, especially if you play on the lower difficulty stages. Helldivers is in my opinion, the best twin stick shooter. It's a fun game that you wont regret buying if you like twin stick shooters. If an alarm is raised, all enemies will begin to diverge in your direction until you either clear them all out with no more alarms being raised, or if you clear the stage. What helldivers provides is an endless attacking force of enemies that keep spawning when the enemy finds you, and if you arent able to kill them on time before they raise an alarm. There are no numbered waves in Helldivers. There are bosses though, but they have dedicated stages separate from regular missions. However, it's not like Killing Floor in the sense that you're not going through rounds of waves before a final boss. You will have a whole bunch of objectives to finish in order to complete a stage before you need to extract. In a way yes in the sense that you can hold out in an area to defend, but depending on the difficulty you can eventually get overwhelmed and you will need to kite the enemies, which is also like killing floor. If you host a game, it won't take long for a full team to join your game, but dont forget to set it to "public", not "private".Īs for it being like Killing Floor 2. You won't have trouble finding a game at all. None of my friends play this, but Ive added many Helldiver randoms and even then, most still play with randoms. You don't need friends, this game is very much alive. There are always games you can join or host and get a full team of strangers fast.ĭon't play this solo, it's pointless. I play Helldivers frequently because it's a game you can drop in on at any time. I'm a Killing Floor 1 and Killing Floor 2 veteran, but I havent played KF2 in quite awhile.
